The Project

  • Project Type: Upgrade & Expansion
  • Project Summary:
  • The project is being realised in three stages:
    • Stage 1: Atmospheric and vacuum distillation units and a naphtha hydrotreatment unit. This will increase the capacity but not the complexity
    • Stage 2: Conversion and specification units, enabling the refinery to produce Euro V fuels
    • Stage 3: Addition of the Flexicoking unit designed for deeper conversion of oil residues
  • Main Contractors:
    • Siemens: gas turbine-generators
  • Licences:
    • Chevron Lummus Global: Hydrocracker and diesel hydrotreater license
    • UOP: isomerization and catalytic reforming of gasoline fractions
    • Technip: Hydrogen production unit
