Introduction
The purpose of this Wiki is to build up a knowledge base of the sector so that I or anyone else can easily locate the information that they need. To this end, all contributions, comments and criticisms are welcome.
Refining
As my area of particular interest is refining, I have started collecting information on Oil Refineries. Over time however, I hope to add a lot more.
Pipelines
Similar to the Refineries database, I am also be developing an Oil and Gas Pipelines database, with information on transnational and other major oil and gas pipelines. Completing the transportation and storage theme is a Major Oil Terminals database
Upstream & LNG
There is a fairly comprehensive LNG Terminal Database a slowly growing Oil and Gas Field Database and the latest addition is an Oil and Gas Processing Plants section and a Global Floating Production Storage And Offloading Vessels (FPSO)
Sector Basics
There is also a Glossary of Upstream Terms and a Refining Glossary. An Introduction to Refining section, gives the basics of how refining works.
For those of you who want to know the difference between Brent & WTI, the Crude Oil Types page will be useful. There is also a section on Unconventional Oil and Gas Resources .
Under development
I am also starting to add a oil and gas company section, which will act as a directory and the basis for a search engine.
