The Project

  • Project Summary: The project will increase the capacity of the existing Sohar Refinery from 116,000 to 187,000 barrels per stream day by installing various clean fuels units, as well as increasing capacity and debottlenecking existing units in the refinery

      • Front end engineering and design (FEED) and project management services
      • Design and supply of delayed coking, hydrocracking, crude and vacuum heaters and a steam reformer
    • UOP/Foster Wheeler: Solvent Deasphalting (SDA) process technology and basic engineering design package
    • Chevron Lummus Global: Licence for the Hydrocracking unit
    • Black and Veatch: Licence for the Sulphur Recovery unit
