History

  • In 1895 the Municipal Council of Bratislava gave its consent to the erection of a mineral oil refinery
  • The first production unit of the new refinery called SLOVNAFT was put into operation in 1957.
  • In the 60´s, SLOVNAFT turned from a refining plant into a refining and petrochemical combine.
  • In 1991, SLOVNAFT launched a hydrocracking production unit
  • 1998 – Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Reformer (CCR)
  • 2007 - Contract signed with Topsøe to revamp the Hydrocracker
