Brief Description

  • The Schiehallion FPSO incorporates two trains of oil separation and high-pressure gas compression.
  • The vessel has storage for 950,000 barrels of oil
  • The oil can be off-loaded on to shuttle tankers at the rate of 600,000 barrels per 24-hour period
  • The vessel is permanently moored by means of a forward top mounted internal turret system, which holds the FPSO on station during survival storm conditions. Fourteen mooring chains anchor the vessel in approximately 400 meters of water.
  • The vessel was decommissioned as part of the Quad 204 Redevelopment Project, which is designed to extend the lives of the Schiehallion & Loyal fields utilising the Glen Lyon FPSO
  • The vessel has been refurbished and renamed Armada Intrepid FPSO
