Brief Description

Technical Details

  • Storage capacity: two 100,000 cubic meter LNG tanks
  • Constructor:
    • Fluor Daniel, contract to provide engineering services for the preparation of a project specification and TEOC documentation (Russian permitting documents)
    • Chiyoda Corporation and Toyo Engineering Corporation, with their Russian partner companies, the KhimEnergo Consortium and NIPIgaspererabotka, were awarded an EPC contract
    • CB&I constructed the storage tanks
  • Licensor: Shell's liquefaction process DMR (Dual Mixed Refrigerant) process is used in this project

History

  • 2000 - Fluor awarded a contract to provide engineering services for the preparation of a project specification and TEOC documentation (Russian permitting documents)
  • 2003 - EPC contract awarded
  • 2007 - Osaka Gas signed the Heads of Agreement (HOA) for the purchase of LNG from Sakhalin II
  • 2008 - JBIC Signs Loan Agreement for US$3.7 billion for the Project
  • 2009 - Dmitry Medvedev, Russian President opened the terminal
