- REX-West is a 713-mile, 42-inch diameter pipeline that runs from the Cheyenne Natural Gas Hub in Weld County, Colo., to Audrain County, Mo.
- REX-East is a 638-mile pipeline segment that extends REX eastward from Missouri to Clarington, Ohio
- A 14.3-mile lateral transports gas north from the Markwest Seneca Gas Processing Center to the mainline
- The pipeline is connected to the White River Natural Gas Hub at Rio Blanco County, Colorado
- There are a number of important interconnects that would be able to receive flows of Appalachian natural gas on REX, including:
- Lebanon, Ohio, where REX interconnects with the Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation and the Texas Gas Transmission Pipeline
- It connects with the ANR Pipeline Company in Shelbyville, Indiana
- Edgar, Illinois, where the Midwestern Gas Transmission Company Gas Pipeline flows gas north from REX to Chicago area consumers
- Moultrie, Illinois, where National Gas Pipeline has proposed adding 0.75 Bcf/d of capacity to flow gas south on its Gulf Coast Mainline
