Description

  • Moored in about 2,400 meters of water (8,000 feet), this record breaking Spar was the deepest spar production facility in the world and the first with Direct Vertical Access
  • Shell’s concept for regional development includes a common processing hub in Alaminos Canyon Block 857 near the Great White discovery that incorporates drilling capability and functionality to gather, process and export production within a 30-mile radius of the facility.
  • The development includes the Great White (Alaminos Canyon Blocks 812, 813, 857 & 901), Tobago (Alaminos Canyon Blocks 815 & 859) and Silvertip fields

  • Oceaneering: Hardware including 29 flowline and well jumper spools, a pipeline tie-in sled, and related products
  • Technip:
    • Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a Spar hull and mooring system
    • Engineering and manufacture of a total of four dynamic umbilicals, three static umbilicals, two steel tube flying leads with associated topside and subsea hardware and a pre-production prototype length. Total umbilical length is approximately 53,466m
  • FMC Technologies: 25 subsea trees pressure rated at 10,000 psi, five subsea caisson separation and boosting systems, two subsea manifolds and related controls and equipment
  • Nexans: Umbilical Design Study
  • Manatee: Subsea operating procedures, ROV tooling monitoring and testing, installation and commissioning planning
