History

  • 1889- First boilers were fitted and the laying of pipelines began in the spring
  • The basic focus of the enterprise was and still is the processing using atmospheric distillation.
  • 1943- This was supplemented with a vacuum column
  • 1947 - A filtrate distillation plant was added
  • 1955 - A gasoline evaporator was added
  • 1996 - A Diesel HDS unit & sulphur complex were added
  • 2000 - The refinery became part of the Unipretrol Group.
  • 2011 - Diesel HDS unit revamped
  • 2012 - Unipetrol decided to cease processing of crude oil at the refinery, and only continue lubricant and asphalt production
