Other Information

  • In 2008, Lukoil completed a 3 year refurbishment project at the refinery.
  • Lukoil modernised one of the plant's crude distillation units, increasing its annual capacity to 2.8 million tonnes from 2.4 million
  • The modernisation included upgrading a hydrotreatment unit and building a visbreaking unit.

History

  • 1937 - The refinery begins operations
  • 1992 - Gasoil desulphurisation added
  • 2004 - An isomerisation unit with a capacity of 120,000t was added
  • 2005 - Closed for refurbishment
  • 2008 - Refinery reopens
  • 2010 - Refinery mothballed
