Introduction

  • Mozambique is a country with no history of oil and gas industry, either upstream or downstream. However, recent discoveries are starting to put the country on the map as far as the industry goes.
  • Primarily a number of major gas discoveries have been made and plans existed to monetise these through investment in an LNG Export terminal.
  • In addition there are plans for two oil refineries to be built in the country.
