Introduction

  • Mozambique is a country with no significant history of oil and gas industry, either upstream or downstream., except for one gas producing project that exports to South Africa. However, recent discoveries are starting to put the country on the map as far as the industry goes.
  • Primarily a number of major gas discoveries have been made offshore and plans existed to monetise these through investments in LNG Export terminals.
  • In addition there are plans for two oil refineries to be built in the country.
