Description

  • The Marlim Sul Field was discovered in November 1987 and is located approximately 120 kilometers off shore the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in water depths ranging from 850 to 2,400 meters and covering an area of about 600 km2 .
  • The development concept for the field comprises four production stages
  • The platforms in operation are, P-26, P-51, P-56 and the Marlim Sul FPSO
  • P-56 which is installed at a water depth of 1,670 meters is designed to process up to 100 thousand barrels of oil per day of heavy oil of 18º API
    • It also has the capacity to process and treat up to 6 million m³ per day of natural gas
  • The P-51 is located in 1255 m water depth
    • It can produce 180 000 bopd oil and 7.2 million m3/day gas.
    • It has a displacement of 80.114 tonnes and a topsides area of 7000m2.
    • The platform has 89 flexible risers and 3 steel catenary risers, and is moored with 16 synthetic rope lines.
  • Marlim Sul FPSO is capable to process 100,000 bpd of crude oil production and 2.3 million Sm³/d of gas compression.
    • The produced gas is exported through Campos Basin pipelines. The process plant includes gas treatment and compression, as well as water injection facilities.
  • Cidade De Macae MV15 FSO
    • Oil is sent to the FSO Cidade de Macae MV15 which has a storage capacity of 2.15 million barrels of oil, is one of the largest FSO units in the world
    • The FSO receives and exports production from five platforms offshore Brazil: P-52 (Roncador), P-53 (Marlim Leste), P-51 (Marlim Sul) and P-55 (Roncador) and Roncador Module 4 unit that will be installed in the future.
    • The FSO topsides include a crude inlet heater module, crude import/export metering module, E-house and three gas turbine generators sets which make up the power generation module
    • The FSO Cidade de Macae MV15 is capable of receiving up to 818,000 barrels of oil per day
