The Project

  • Project Summary: The refinery is being expanded to 15 million tons capacity It will also have a delayed coker added.

    • Technip: The contracts cover the design, engineering, supply and installation of fired heaters in four major units of the MRPL refinery
    • Jacobs: Are providing engineering, procurement and construction management consultancy services for a Crude Distillation/Vacuum Distillation (CDU/VDU) project
    • Toyo Engineering India Limited (Toyo India): Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract on Lump Sum Turnkey basis (EPC-LSTK) from Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) for setting up Balance Of Plant (BOP) of Delayed Coker Unit (DCU).
    • Punj Lloyd: construction of a Petro Fluid Catalytic Cracking (PFCC) Unit
    • Maire Tecnimont: Heavy Coker Gas Oil Hydro-Treating Unit (CHTU)

  • 2009 - Maire Tecnimont awarded contract for Heavy Coker Gas Oil Hydro-Treating Unit (CHTU)
  • 2012 - The project is completed with successful commissioning of the new units
