Description

  • The Khurais Crude Increment Program covers three oil fields: Khurais, Abu Jifan and Mazlij
  • The Khurais field has an area of 2,890 km2
  • The largest oil development project in the Arabian Gulf Region since the 1950s
  • It needed the drilling and completion of more than 300 wells
  • The four injection plants have a capacity of injecting over four million barrels of treated seawater per day
  • The Khurais Gas Facility will be designed to process the sour associated gas produced from the three oilfields into a natural gas liquid product and a dry, single-phase sour shipping gas. The plant will process a total of 563 million standard cubic feet per day of sour associated gas and 70,000 b/d of hydrocarbon condensate
  • The Khurais Increment Program
    • The aim is to increase production capacity at the Khurais Central Processing Facilities (CPF) by 300,000 barrels of oil per calendar day (BPCD) from its current capacity of 1,200,000 BPCD, as well as to enhance production from the Mazalij and Abu Jifan fields by installation of a satellite Gas Oil Separation Plant (GOSP)
