Pipeline Status

  • In operation
  • An extension project has been launched to supply products to Kampala, Uganda. This extension will be reversible, enabling Uganda to export products when their refinery project is completed

History

  • 1978 - The pipeline operations begin
  • 1994 - Western Kenya Pipeline System project completed
  • 2008 - Capacity was increased with four additional Pumps Stations on the Mombasa – Nairobi Pipeline System
  • 2012 - The Uganda extension project was launched
