History

  • 1961 - The Izmit Refinery started production with a 1 million ton/year capacity of crude oil processing
  • 1982 - Design capacity reached 11.5 million tons/year
  • 1996 - 23,000 bpd Hydrocracker commissioned
  • 2007 - A CCR Reformer Unit and Diesel Desulfurization Unit (MQD) were put into operation
  • 2011 - Construction of the upgrading project launched
