Description

  • The Everest gas/condensate field is located 240km north east of Aberdeen in Blocks 22/9, 22/10a and 22/14a (Licence Nos P.101, P.066 and P.110) in the UK sector of the Northern North Sea. It is a fixed steel platform with a bridge link to the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) riser platform.
  • South Everest includes two wells and a 7.1 km tie back to the North Everest platform
  • Gas is transported by CATS to Teesside.
  • Liquids are transported via the Forties Pipeline System (FPS) to Cruden Bay and onwards to Kinneil for processing.
  • Everest which is operated by BG Group was discovered in 1982 and started production in May 1993.
  • The latest development is Everest East, which comprises two sub-sea wells tied back to the North Everest platform
