History

  • 1949 - ExxonMobil's complex began operations in the southern Italian city of Augusta. At that time, it was called Rasiom
  • 1953 - Reforming Unit 1 (hidrofyner) commissioned
  • 1954/56: Reformer 2 - 3 (powerformers)
  • 1957 - Topping Unit 4
  • 1961 - It was acquired by ExxonMobil and it was renamed as Esso Augusta Refinery.
