History
- 1949 - ExxonMobil's complex began operations in the southern Italian city of Augusta. At that time, it was called Rasiom
- 1953 - Reforming Unit 1 (hidrofyner) commissioned
- 1954/56: Reformer 2 - 3 (powerformers)
- 1957 - Topping Unit 4
- 1961 - It was acquired by ExxonMobil and it was renamed as Esso Augusta Refinery.
- 1962, reforming 4 (powerformer)
- 1963: 1 vacuum pipestill, a lubricant
- 1965 - The refinery was expanded with the addition of a 100,000 bpd CDU
- 1967: catalytic cracking, alkylation
