  • 1974 - Capacity expanded by 50,000 bpd and Catalytic Reforming Unit added
  • 1976 - A CDU was converted into a Visbreaker
  • 1981 - Addition of the hydrofluoric acid alkylation unit
  • 1996 - Petronas bought 30% of the refinery from Mobil
  • 1998 - Petronas bought the remaining 70%
  • 2004 - Clean Fuels Project Launched
  • 2006 - Alkylation project launched
  • 2011 - Multi-products pipeline feeder lines and infrastructure project launched
