History

  • 1976 - Line 9 enters service
  • 1999 - Flow in the pipeline was reversed to bring imported oil to the west
  • 2011 - Enbridge announced reversal project for 9A
  • 2012 - Enbridge announced reversal project for 9B
  • 2012 - The NEB approves reversal of the Sarnia - North Westover section
  • 2014 - NEB approves the reversal of the Westover - Montreal section
  • 2015 - NEB approves the return to operations of Line 9
