History

  • 1978 - Three people were killed in an explosion that occurred in a polymerization unit at the refinery
  • 2003 - Suncor Energy bought the west refinery from Conoco
  • 2005 - Suncor purchased the east refinery from Valero
  • 2006 - Project Odyssey is completed
  • 2011 - Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued orders to Suncor Energy to clean up a release of petroleum products
