History

• 1977 - The terminal received its first cargo
• 2002 - the LNG tanker Al Zubarah arrived at the LNG terminal in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, with 60,000 tons of LNG (liquefied natural gas) from Qatar. This brought the cumulative total of LNG unloaded at the terminal to 100 million tons.
