Description

  • Buzzard is one of the largest field developments in the UK North Sea in more than a decade. With estimated recoverable reserves of over 500 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) it has the potential to deliver approximately 10% of the UK’s annual forecast oil demand at peak rates.
  • The field has four manned platforms, the Wellhead Platform, Production Platform & Utilities Platform entered service in 2007, whilst the Sweetening Platform started operations in 2011
  • Oil from Buzzard is exported via the Forties Pipeline System to the Kinniel Terminal in Scotland.
  • Natural gas is exported via the Frigg UK Gas Pipeline System to the FUKA St Fergus Gas Processing Terminal in northeast Scotland.
