Description

  • Bongkot Gas Field is the biggest gas field in the gulf of Thailand
  • The field utilises the FSO Pathumabaha and previously utilised the Lan Shui FPSO
  • The Bongkot North development consists of: a central complex for gas gathering, processing, export and accommodation; a condensate floating storage and offloading vessel; and 25 remote wellhead platforms
  • The 30,000 ton platform can produce 385 million cubic feet of natural gas and 18,000 barrels of condensate daily

History

  • 1993 - The Bongkot gas field came on-stream
  • 1998 - Deliveries were raised to 550 mmscfd, fully utilising the existing capacity of the export line
  • 1998 - Statoil sold its shares to the other partners
  • 2003 - Modec delivered the FSO Pathumabaha
  • 2011 - Gas processing platform is delivered
  • 2012 - Bongkot South production started
  • 2012 - Greater Bongkot South field (GBS), the major field in Bongkot Project, is now producing natural gas at 320 MMSCFD as per the Daily Contractual Quantity (DCQ) and 9,000 bpd of condensate
  • 2018 - PTTEP acquired Shell's stake in the field
