History
- 1955 - Refining operations began under the name of Caribbean Refining Corporation
- 1962 - This facility was purchased by the Gulf Oil Corporation
- 1987 - The facility was sold to First Oil Corporation
- 1998 - Refinery restarted after a 3 year break
- 2009 - The refinery closes following a major fire
- 2010 - Caribbean Petroleum Refining, Caribbean Petroleum Corporation and Gulf Petroleum Refining Corporation filed a Chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court
- 2011 - Puma Energy purchases of all assets once owned by Capeco, including the refinery
