The Project
- Project Type: Upgrade
- Project Summary: The upgrade will enable the Barrancabermeja refinery to produce gasoline and diesel in compliance with international environmental regulations regarding sulphur content reduction.
- Main Contractors:
- Technip - front end design, detailed engineering and procurement services for the process units, as well as supervision of contractors’ activities for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
- Foster Wheeler - additional project management consultancy (PMC) and front end engineering design (FEED), detailed engineering for the crude unit revamps, assisting Ecopetrol in the selection process for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, and control and supervision of the EPC and construction contractors.
