  • Full field development is planned to produce 165,000 barrels of oil per day from facilities that include 49 wells on three well pads, a central processing facility, and a 60 mile (95 kilometer) pipeline to transfer the processed oil to a 1.7 million barrel floating storage and offloading (FSO) unit in the Java Sea. Tankers will load crude oil from the FSO for transport to domestic and world markets.
  • The Banyu Urip FSO is a conversion of the double Hull VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) made in 1993 was previously a Greek flag trade ship under the name of MT Chios. The vessel is classified as a very large vessel. The length is 327 meters and has dead-weight of 320,000 tons with storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels


  • This work is divided into five contracts of EPC with total value of approximately US$1.3 billion.
  • Those five contracts are projects for production process facility (EPC1), 20” onshore pipeline of 72 kilometer (EPC2), offshore pipeline and mooring tower (EPC3), floating storage and offloading facility (EPC4), and infrastructure facility and injected water storage dam (EPC5)
