Brief Description

  • Together with the Bakken Pipeline Project USA, the new completed pipeline will carry crude oil from Berthold, North Dakota to Cromer, Manitoba where crude volumes can then access the Enbridge mainline pipeline system serving the U.S. Midwest, Midcontinent and eastern Canada
  • The pipeline is designed to give access to growing volumes of crude from the Bakken Oil Field to markets in the USA and Canada

  • With an expected in service date of early 2013, the capital cost for this project is estimated to reach approximately $180.1 million

History

  • 2011 - The National Energy Board (NEB or the Board) announced its approval of the Bakken Pipeline Project Canada application
