Ongoing Projects/Project Status

  • INPEX Masela is currently preparing to award Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) contracts, which is scheduled for the 1st half of 2012

Suppliers / Customers

  • Suppliers: The gas will come from Inpex's Abadi Gas Field in the Masela block of the Timor Sea
  • Customers: Inpex will supply the gas to its customers in Japan

History

  • 1998 - INPEX acquired a 100% working interest in the Masela block in November through an open bidding process
  • 2008 - PreFEED completed
  • 2010 - Government Approval of the Development Plan of the Abadi Gas Field
  • 2011 - Shell becomes a partner in the project
